Hip

At the Ouchy Orthopedic Center, we treat hip conditions with specialized expertise and a personalized approach. We treat, in particular:
  • L'hip osteoarthritis, responsible for groin pain and limited mobility.
For this condition, we offer a comprehensive range of treatments, from:
  • conservative solutions (physiotherapy, lumbo-pelvic rebalancing),
  • to targeted injections (hyaluronic acid, corticosteroids),
  • through to surgery, including total hip replacement when necessary.
Our goal is to relieve pain, restore mobility and improve our patients' quality of life.

The hip joint plays a central role in balance and daily mobility. Symptoms, such as discomfort when walking or the onset of groin pain, are often indicative of various pathologies.

Common causes of localized hip discomfort include:

  • L'hip osteoarthritis, which leads to progressive stiffness and limited movement
  • Labral lesions or tears
  • Femoroacetabular impingement, responsible for abnormal friction and sometimes joint blockages

Faced with these situations, several therapeutic options are considered, depending on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's life plan:

  • Conservative management: tailored rehabilitation, activity adaptation, and anti-inflammatory treatments.
  • Intra-articular injections or infiltration, according to medical recommendations
  • Surgical intervention: arthroscopy to treat certain impingements or, in advanced cases, total hip replacement.

Attentive support is offered at each stage, in order to preserve autonomy, promote recovery and allow the continuation of activities with complete peace of mind.
