FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Medicol is an organization that brings together more than 30 member physicians specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, with the aim of promoting the training of health professionals, networking their skills and thus improving the medical care of patients.
The Bois-Cerf Clinic, specializing in orthopedics, is part of the Hirslanden group of private clinics, which also represents the largest medical network in Switzerland.
Medicol and the Bois-Cerf Clinic, in partnership with their training physicians, have developed a fellowship program intended for in-depth training in orthopedic surgery.
This program offers the following benefits to fellows:

FELLOWSHIP IN SHOULDER SURGERY

Dr. Steve Brenn performs more than 250 arthroscopies and 40 shoulder replacements per year. He practices the latest operative techniques in shoulder surgery and continues to update his expertise through regular courses in Europe and the USA. The coaching program he developed for his patients, as well as his pre- and post-operative evaluation program, contribute to the success of his operations. His evolving teaching, with approximately 100 supervised arthroscopies per year, allows the fellow to be autonomous in these operative techniques.
He wants to share his knowledge and allow young orthopedists to benefit from his experience.
Activities
- Operative assistance for all the trainer's cases and practice of surgery for his/her own patients according to level of autonomy, under supervision.
- Consultations.
- Monitoring of hospitalized patients.
- Support for assistant physicians.
- Collaboration in clinical and scientific research.
- Participation in the holding and facilitation of medical conferences and meetings.
- Contribution to the writing of scientific texts for publication and communication.
Candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:
TERMS
- Hold a Swiss or MEBEKO-recognized title as a specialist in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal traumatology.
- In the case of a federal FMH title, have authorization to practice and invoice in the canton of Vaud or be eligible.
- Have a good command of French (certified level) and knowledge of English.
- Swiss or EU/EFTA nationality or valid Swiss residence permit.
SKILLS
- Advanced and proven surgical capabilities.
- Good command of IT tools and ease in administrative management.
- Ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
- Sense of responsibility.
