Dr. Amélie Ammann studied medicine at the University of Geneva and obtained her federal medical degree in 2018.
She began her training in general internal medicine at the Centre Hospitalier du Valais Romand (CHVR). During her first two years, Dr. Amélie Ammann worked in the emergency department, which led her to train in mountain medicine.
In 2021, she obtained the International Diploma in Mountain and Expedition Medicine. She then decided to take a six-month sabbatical during which she traveled and earned her degree in Nutrition in Geneva. Upon her return, Dr. Amélie Ammann resumed her training at the Clinique Romande de Réadaptation in Sion, specializing in the musculoskeletal system. She gradually shifted her focus towards the management of musculoskeletal disorders. Passionate about this field, she furthered her training by completing the SAMM (Swiss Association of Manual Medicine) and SEMS (Sports Medicine) programs, which she finished in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
In order to further develop her skills in sports medicine, Dr. Amélie Ammann will join the Ouchy Orthopedic Centre in November 2025.
