Dr. Elena Albertazzi completed her medical studies at the University of Turin, Italy, where she obtained her medical degree in 2016. The following year, she decided to move to Switzerland to continue her specialization in orthopedics.
For the first three years, Dr. Elena Albertazzi worked as an assistant physician in general surgery in the emergency department and orthopedics at the Fribourg Hospital (HFR) in Tavel. To further develop her skills in traumatology, she then practiced for three years at the Thun Hospital, before completing her orthopedic training with two additional years at the Sonnenhof Hospital in Bern.
In addition to her hospital work, Dr. Elena Albertazzi conducts research on spinal surgery within the research group at Sonnenhof Hospital, as well as in the field of sports medicine. For several seasons, she has been a referring physician for various sports clubs.
Passionate about orthopedics, Dr. Elena Albertazzi joined the Ouchy Orthopedic Centre in September 2025 to pursue her specialization in orthopedic surgery and traumatology, while continuing her in-depth interdisciplinary training in sports and exercise medicine (SEMS).
